This is just the second small tribute I have tossed to the web.....I wish him well. There are so many works of his that are unknown to generations that are here today.

He became an icon across college campuses in the 60's. He was blessed an uncanny ability to capture in verse.....
the feelings of anxiety, love, confusion, and hope that were all so common....
during the Vietnam era.
His public readings had the drawing power of a rock concert.
Not just poetry for Rod McKuen.....he had more than 40 gold and platinum records worldwide.
Over 900 songs composed......over 40 books written......twice nominated for an Academy Award
for his film music.
Not bad for a boy that left home at 11 years old......... to earn money for his family.
