The first digital watch happened in 1972 when the "Pulsar" was manufactured by Hamilton Watch Company.
Seiko bought the rights for the "Pulsar" in 1978 and it became  a well known brand.
Then in the 1980s when personal computers were becoming common place....
Seiko started to develop computers in the form of watches.
Early models could perform calculations, translations, game playing and the such.

Now a days they have developed into wearable computers. Some even support WI-FI,
