San Fran 1906

The above photograph is the aftermath of the 1906 quake.
The film was lost for a number of years. it was shot just 4 days....
before the big one hit.....
April 18,1906
It was the very first 35 mm film movie ever produced.
This is a true historic treasure!
The camera was mounted on a cable car.... and gives us a real look see into the past.
First it was thought to be from 1905....until David Kiehn
with The Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum figured it out. They even
know the car owners names and when they registered their vehicles.
