Voice From....The Other Stall

w
ww.the

Traveling down the interstate and needing to use the restroom,
I stopped at a rest area and headed to the restroom.

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice coming from the other stall saying:
"Hi, how are you?"

I'm not the type to start a conversation in a restroom.... and I don't know what got into me....
But.... I answered, somewhat embarrassed,
"Doin' just fine!"

And the other person says:
"So what are you up to?"

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking.... this is not cool! So I say:
"Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!"

At this point.... I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question.
"Can I come over?"

Ok, this question is just a bit too weird.... for me! So I figured I would just be polite and end the conversation. I said....
"No....I am just a little busy right now!!!"
Then I hear the person say nervously...
"Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions

Cell phones, don't you just love them
!

May you always have love to share, health and wealth to spare, and friends that care....

Theodore Roosevelt Quote

US President
Theodore
Roosevelt's
ideas
on Immigrants
and being
an
AMERICAN
in 1907.

"In the first place, we should insist that if
the immigrant who comes
here in good faith becomes an American
and assimilates himself to us,
he shall be treated on an exact equality
with everyone else, for it is
an outrage to discriminate against any such man
because of creed, or
birthplace, or origin.
But this is predicated upon the person's
becoming in every facet an American,
and nothing but an American.....
There can be no divided allegiance here.
Any man who says he is an
American, but something else also,
isn't an American at all. We have
room for but one flag, the American flag....
We have room for but one
language here, and that is the English language....
and we have room
for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty....
to the American people."
